Authorities put out an alert last week asking the public for help in finding Gardner. But so far, no one has called police to say they him. Authorities said he may have ended up at a medical facility listed as a “John Doe” because of his dementia.

Gardner was last seen wearing white sneakers, blue jeans and a grey sweater. He is five-feet, nine-inches tall, about 155 pounds with grey hair. He has a three-inch burn scar on his left arm.

Gardner has wandered away from his home before and was located near the McDonald’s at Broadway and Madison Avenue and at the Lakeview Cemetary. His wife reported him missing.

Authorities are asking that anyone with information contact the Paterson Police Detective Bureau at 973-321-1120 or the non-emergency number at 973-321-1111.
