PATERSON, NJ- Just weeks after co-hosting an outdoor street party that attracted more than 1000 city residents to watch the Colombian national soccer team take on the English in the World Cup, 6th Ward Councilman Al Abdelaziz is again inviting residents to join him for a special community celebration.

Abdelaziz’ 6th Ward Peruvian Watch Party will be held on Sunday at Ataturk Park and begin at 12:00 p.m.

Guests are encouraged to bring a chair and “have a good time with your neighbors." The parade itself steps off on Main Street in Passaic at 10:00 a.m. before marching for over five miles through Clifton and ending in downtown Paterson.

Peruvian inspired food will be provided by Cocina Cecilia located on Grand Street.

“We need to make sure that we have family fun activities going on in the 6th Ward instead of going to other towns,” Abdelaziz said in a Facebook post.
