This little cutie is the last “good” reminder of a bitter winter. The family, mom included, were rescued during a nasty blizzard. They adapted quickly to being safe inside and are now ready to find their new homes and their new families. Hailey is quite the player and is all about kitten energy. Born in late February of 2018, this beautiful grey and white girl enjoys wrestling with her siblings until she is tuckered out. Hailey would love a feline companion in her new home, possibly a sibling or even her mom, Angel. Hailey is vaccinated, altered, FeLV/FIV tested negative and microchipped. If you are interested in adopting Hailey,  complete the pre-adoption application at www.startpets.net or call Lauren at S.T.A.R.T. at 973-785-1245.

Bobby is a handsome grey tabby, with a short tail. Bobby was born in January of 2012. He loves his belly rubs and likes to be King of the household!  Bobby would do best with one other cat. He loves to play and sometimes the other cats think he is too rough, but Bobby likes to be boss. Give Bobby a chance and he will warm your heart!! Bobby is a lap cat and loves to watch TV and get attention!! He is vaccinated, altered, FeLV/FIV tested negative and microchipped. If you are interested in adopting Bobby, complete the pre-adoption application at www.startpets.net or call Kym at S.T.A.R.T. at 973-785-1245.

If you're looking for a gal who's equally playful and sweet, look no further! Missy's just as happy playing with toys as she is rolling over for belly rubs. She even likes being held!

June 8, 2018

Dear Editor:

For a long time mental illness has been "masked" with drug, alcohol, sex, and others.

The climbing rate of the act of suicide, including one in our very own backyard earlier this week, shows that we have to fight harder and collectively in reducing the stigma.

Sincerely,

Sharrieff Bugg
