PATERSON, NJ - A Paterson resident is dead after a house fire at 276 17th Avenue Tuesday.

According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes, Paterson Police Chief Ibrahim Baycora, and Paterson Fire Chief Brian McDermott, the incident that began when police and fire officials responded to a second-alarm fire at the residence at approximately 2:28 p.m. is under investigation.

Five residents were displaced from the home as a result of the fire and the victim has not yet been identified.
