PATERSON, NJ- A Paterson man was due in court on Wednesday to face several charges related to a shooting that took place on June 24 in the area of 21st Avenue and Plum Street.

According to a statement by Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Troy Oswald, Johnny Milete, 28, was arrested on Tuesday in connection to the incident that left one man with non-fatal gunshot wounds. The arrest came after an extensive investigation by the Paterson Police Department in conjunction with the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.

Milete faces up to 20 years in New Jersey State Prison on the charges that include Attempted Murder and Possession of a Handgun for an Unlawful Purpose.
