PATERSON, NJ- Just hours before the Paterson City Council is set to consider a commercial curfew for the area Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Troy Oswald announced that an arrest has been made in a shooting that took place on April 23 in the area of Main and Weiss Street.

According to a statement, Daniel A. Maldonado, 33, Paterson, is due to appear in court on Tuesday in connection with the shooting which left one man injured. Maldonado also faces additional weapons and drugs charges related to his Monday arrest for alleged misdeeds in the area of Braun and Chadwick Street.

Maldonado, the statement reads, faces up to 20 years in New Jersey State Prison.
