PATERSON, NJ - Residents and others are being advised to avoid the area of Straight Street as a major fire continues to burn at the residential building belonging to Straight and Narrow.

Mayor Andre Sayegh told TAPinto Paterson that the fire was first reported just before 11:00 a.m. and that while there are currently no injuries to report members of the Paterson Fire Department, as well those from surrounding communities, will continue to fight the fire for at least several hours.

Referring to the blaze as “unlike anything I’ve ever seen in Paterson,” Sayegh, thanking the first responders on the scene, said that it's “times like this when you really see what they do.”
