Celebrity Chef Florian Bellanger Appears at God Save the QueenS Fashion Show

Florian Bellanger, local Paterson businessman and The Food Network celebrity chef, will be making a special appearance at the God Save the QueenS fashion show on Saturday, May 21, 2011 at the Paterson Museum, 2 Market Street, at 2:00 pm in Paterson.  Chef Bellanger and his business partner, Chef Ludovic Augendre, own MadMac, a gourmet baking facility supplying pastries (especially madeleines  and macarons) up and down the East Coast.

The fashion show is the culminating event of the God Save the QueenS art exhibit and series of community events curated by Cristina Deutsch, Art Curator at the Paterson Free Public Library.  GSTQ’s celebrates the tradition of church hats in the Paterson African-American church community.  This event is free and open to the public.  Chefs Bellanger and Augendre will be donating delightful pastry delicacies for the fashion show.

According to a press release from Alison Faubert  Florian Bellanger had many reasons for choosing Paterson.  “We wanted to be as close as possible to New York City, an easy access by road for our delivery and pick up from our wholesale and distributors, as well as enough square footage and all in a - dynamic city.  We found all of that in Paterson. We found the right geographic location close to Route 80 and 20 minutes away only to the GWB, the right warehouse and we were able to transform this warehouse in a workable kitchen. The City of Paterson has been very welcoming to new businesses like Mad Mac.”
