PATERSON, NJ - The intersection of East 22nd Street and 14th Avenue has been a troublesome one. Officials say there have been numerous accidents there and they think they know they know the problem.

They say vehicles parked on East 22nd near the corner block the sight of drivers making their way through the  intersection. So the city council is weighing an ordinance to create no-parking zones on East 22nd, near the corner. The zones would extend between 50 and 100 feet from the corner.

The city council voted in favor of the ordinace on first reading at its February 8 meeting. A final vote has been scheduled for February 22.
