PATERSON, NJ- A second shooting in the early hours of Saturday sent two Paterson men to the hospital with non-fatal gunshot wounds.
According to a statement by Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Troy Oswald, members of the Paterson Police Department responded to the area of East 23rd Street and 12th Avenue on a report of shots fired at approximately 5:56 a.m.
Upon arrival the police were unable to locate a victim, but located evidence of a crime scene. A short time later, the police were notified that the two victims, 35 and 37, had arrived at the Saint Joseph’s Regional Medical Center for treatment.
An earlier incident, which occurred at approximately 1:20 a.m., left a 44-year old Paterson man injured.
Both investigations remain active and ongoing.
