Eastside to Open Boys Hoop Season at JFK Friday

PATERSON, NJ - Size and recent history will be on the side of the Eastside varsity boys basketball team when the Ghosts open their 2013-2014 season Friday night in the gym of city rival John F. Kennedy High school.

Last season, the Ghosts put together a 25-3 record and reached the NJSIAA Section 1, Group 4 semifinals before being upset by Bloomfield. Along the way, Eastside scored a pair of victories over JFK by scores of 69-61 and 65-41.

Eastside has three starters--6-7 junior Shakur Juiston, 6-6 junior Marquel Sheffield and 6-5 senior Quincy Jones--that are all taller than JFK's biggest frontcourt player.

I'm Sorry Mr. Jackson... I Am For Real

July 8, 2018

Hello again, Paterson.

So much has changed since the last time I’ve written… as I’d hoped, Andre Sayegh is our new mayor and it seems an exciting new dawn is upon us. I think when any change comes, especially one as major as this, there is an opportunity for reflection as well as for hope. This election taught me quite a bit, seeing some of the best and worst sides of ...
