PATERSON, NJ - Lead by their senior guards, the Eastside Ghosts went on a 7-0 run late in the game to beat crosstown rival Kennedy, 69-61, FRiday night.

Jetor Brown had 35 points, four assists and four steals for the Ghosts, while Tommy Rivera, who transferred to Eastside this year after national powerhouse St. Patrick's shut down, added 19 points.

For Kennedy, Alphonso Gee scored 23, including going 14 for 15 from the foul line. He also had three steals.

It was the season opener foor both schools.
