Kennedy Boys Lose to Bergen Catholic, 61-58

Kennedy Knights

PATERSON, NJ - The Knights of Kennedy High came out of the gate with a fast start, taking a 12-point lead in the first quarter. It looked like they were going to pull off a big victory over the Crusaders. But eventually, the Crusaders came back and won, 61-58, in a well-played game.
By half-time, the Knights' lead was cut to 32-30. Even though Kennedy continued to play solid ball in the second half, the Crusaders changed the game by slowing the tempo.
The teams went back and forth, but with about three minutes left, the Crusaders went on an 8-0 run to take the lead. Still, the Knights had a chance to tie the game at the buzzer, but a three-point attempt bounced off the back of the rim.
Dawan Lighty lead the Knights with 24, while Jhamir White had 21 points.
