PATERSON, NJ - After a competitive first half, the Kennedy High girls basketball team used a third quarter explosion to blow out visiting Eastside High, 86-54, on February 7.

Kennedy, the top-seeded team in the Passaic County tournament, lead by nine at half-time, but outscored Eastside 30-12 in the third quarter to put the game on ice.

Kylla Champagne lead the Lady Knights with 21 points, 16 rebounds and two blocks. Ahynnah Jackson contributed 17 points, five boards and two steals, while Tiara Marshall scored 15 and Ericka Brown 13. Brown also had a team0high six assists.

D'Andrea Watson was high scorer for the Lady Ghosts with 17, while Desirelle Salas had 12 and Emmonie Flood 11.

Kennedy raised its record to 11-4, while Eastside fell to 3-11.
