Little Falls Councilman Steps Down

LITTLE FALLS, N.J. - Little Falls Councilman Joseph Maceri has stepped down from his post due to personal reasons.

The Republican committee now has 15 days to present three candidates to the council.

According to the letter submitted to the council and read at last night's meeting, Maceri's family is moving to Cedar Grove.

I attended a recent city council workshop to address the issue of the missing benches in front of city hall. To me, this decision was  shortsighted and counterproductive. As a longtime city activist I find it rather odd that the mayor found it necessary to remove the benches from in the first place.
