EAST ORANGE, NJ - Recently, TAPinto staff met with East Orange native, playwright and producer Ty Lowman of Ty Low Productions, and his super talented cast to discuss his upcoming play, “The Church Wives”.
The Church Wives takes an introspective look at the women that populate our local churches. Lowman writes, “It can be easy to assume that everyone’s life is grand when they show up to church disguised in their Sunday best. But (our) new production, “The Church Wives” seeks to reveal many of the issues these woman face. The setting for the story is a church meeting; but before it’s over the characters discuss and disclose the contents of their hearts, only to recognize they are not that different from one another.”
Lowman has been discovering, molding, and casting theater professionals since 2005. Some of his successful productions were 'What Kind Of Love Is This' that told about a couple's struggle against unfaithfulness in a marriage; 'Lord, Make Me Over', which was an individuals' account with drug abuse and homosexuality; and 'He's Still A Man', an infusing story about how a pastor overcame his earthly desires and struggles.
Ty Low Productions is a production company devoted to spreading God's words by way of inspirational theater performance. It was founded by producer and writer Ty Lowman in 2004, and is also actively involved with community outreach program.
The next presentation of Ty Lowman's Production of Church Wives will be at NU Majestic Theatre on August 6th 2016 (two shows 2:00PM and 7:00PM) at 385 Broadway in Paterson New Jersey 07501.
