Local Students to Receive $1Million in Scholarships to Montclair State University

MONTCLAIR, NJ - A check for $1 million will be presented to Montclair State University officials on Thursday afternoon to ensure that 50 students will receive a fully paid scholarship to Montclair State University, university officials announced.

Robert Carr, founder/CEO of NJ-based Heartland Payment Systems and founder of Give Something Back Foundation will ensure that the students receive a debt-free education. MSU became the third higher education institution to partner with the foundation in New Jersey, increasing the total number of such scholarships to 150.  

Ninth graders who are accepted will receive comprehensive support and mentoring throughout high school and college to graduate within four years and debt free.
