PATERSON, NJ - The American Atheists organization was supposed to unveil a billboard on Broadway on Monday. It's not up yet. But don't take that as a sign that the atheists have found religion.

"The billboard company had a logistical problem,'' said the group's president, David Silverman. The billboard at Broadway and E. 33rd Street should be up by Wednesday, he said.

The atheist organization picked Paterson to target the city's large Muslim population. The spot where the billboard will go up is down the street from a mosque. The group also is putting up a similar billboard in a heavily Jewish Brooklyn neighborhood near the Williamsburg Bridge.

Silverman said the billboards are designed to promote what he says will be the largest atheist rally in America history on March 24 at The Mall in Washington, DC.
