PATERSON, NJ - A factory worker was injured Thursday morning when his hand was partially crushed by a machine.

Police and fire department units responded to the call at 95-99 5th Ave., where a man working at a paper and plastic bag manufacturing company got his left hand caught in a machine. Emergency responders extricated the man's hand from the machine.

He was treated at the scene and then transported to St. Joseph's Medical Center. No further information on his condition has been released.
