PATERSON, NJ- A Paterson man who was allegedly involved in a domestic violence incident early Wednesday morning was later found with non-fatal gunshot wounds.

According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Troy Oswald, an investigation by the Paterson Police Department,  in conjunction with the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office, led to the arrest of  Javeska R. Uter, 29 on charges including Child Endangerment, Unlawful Possession of a Handgun, and Simple Assault.

It is alleged, according to authorities, that Mr. Uter assaulted the victim with children present and while in possession of a handgun. Uter fled the scene following the incident and was found a short time later when Paterson Police responded to the area of Godwin Avenue at approximately 2:20 a.m. Uter was subsequently arrested and transported to St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center for treatment from the wounds he had sustained.
