PATERSON, NJ - Officers from the Paterson Police Department responded to 12th Avenue and Straight Street earlier today and discovered one male who appeared to have been stabbed multiple times and required medical attention.  The victim, Alfred Edwards, was transported to St. Joseph's Hospital where he later died from his injuries, said police.

After an investigation, detectives arrested Miguel Nesbeth from New York, who was apprehended near the 100 block of Rosa Parks without incident, according to police.  Nesbeth was charged with murder, unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose.
