PATERSON, NJ - A city resident was robbed at gunpoint while sitting in front of his home Tuesday night in the north end of the city.
According to Sgt. Dean Barone, a Hispanic male was on his phone in front of his home in the 200 block of 4th Avenue when a 5-foot-8 black male in his 20s wearing a brown hoodie and a half-ski mask walked up to him and pointed a gun at the victim.
The suspect took the man's cash and his phone and fled by foot.
It was the second armed robbery in the neighborhood in as many nights.
"There seems to be a pattern developing in that area," Barone said. "It's definitely something we are keeping an eye on."
On Monday night, a woman on 8th Avenue was robbed at gunpoint by two black males in their 20s very near her home in the 100 block of 8th Avenue.
