Man Shoots Self, Gets Arrested

Arrie Moore, 46, Paterson Credits: Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office

A Paterson man involved in a Monday shooting has been arrested and charged with several gun related crimes, which left the individual with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

According to a statement by Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Troy Oswald, an investigation by the Paterson Police Department, in conjunction with the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office, led to the arrest of Arrie Moore, 46.

The statement recounts that members of the Paterson Police Department responded to the area of Summer Street on a report of a shooting victim lying on the sidewalk at approximately 8:14 p.m. on Monday.

Upon arrival police located Moore with a non-fatal gunshot wound. Moore was immediately transported to the Saint Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in Paterson for treatment.

Moore is expected to appear in court on Tuesday.
