Morgan Academy Teacher Gets National Certification

Kenrick Ramdath


PATERSON, NJ - Kenrick Ramdath or “Mr. Kenny” as he is affectionately known at Garrett Morgan Academy, is the latest district teacher to attain his certification from the National Board of Professional Teacher Standards (NBPTS), Paterson Public Schools Superintendent Donnie Evans announced.

Ramdath’s new certification is in the specific field of Adolescent Physics, making him one of only a few teachers nation-wide to hold this license, Evans said..

Ramdath has over 20 years of teaching experience including the last seven with Paterson Public Schools.  In 2006, he was selected as district Teacher of the Year.

Besides his duties teaching Physics and Chemistry (including advanced placement courses in both) he is also advisor to the respected and highly successful GMA Robotics club, Evans said.
