PATERSON, NJ - Utility crews were able to restore power for those Patersonians who lost electricity during Wednesday night's nor-easter, officials said.
Homes along 11th Avenue in the E. 39th and E. 42nd Street areas had been affected. Other than a few downed power lines, the nor'easter packed little punch in Paterson, a welcome break for a city where some folks have yet to regain power from when Sandy hit 10 days ago.
Statewide, more than 40,000 Public Service Gas & Electric customers remained without power from the nor'easter, while 70,000 from Sandy.
For safety reasons, PSE&G on Wednesday had to recall its repair crews in any areas where winds exceeded 40 mph.
