PATERSON, NJ- Law enforcement officials are investigating a shooting that awakened residents in the area of Park Avenue and East 22nd Street in the early hours of Sunday.
According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Oswald members of the Paterson Police Department responded to the area of Park Ave on a report of shots fired. Upon arrival the police located a possible crime scene, but were unable to locate a victim.
A short time later, the police were notified that a 31-year-old male Paterson resident had arrived at Saint Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in Paterson for treatment of a non-fatal gunshot wound.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
