PATERSON, NJ - Thanksgiving started early for 15 members of Paramus based The Living Christ Church as they headed out with bags of groceries and decorations to host a brunch for teens at the YCS Kilbarrchan group homes in Paterson.

For some of the youth, who are receiving therapeutic care in the three homes on their campus, a visit home for the holiday is not possible. So, when a member of the church's congregation approached Bonnie Park, director of the Life Mission about reaching out to the youth, she was eager to get involved and decided on hosting a holiday brunch.

The teens were met with warm smiles and words of kindness as they filled into the campus' dining room to enjoy a bountiful buffet.  When the ministry put out the call for volunteers, the enthusiasm, was palpable, according to the Pastor Jason Pettibone. "Our team came with open hearts and desire to impart hope," said the Pettibone before adding "In all honesty we get much more back than we give."
