PATERSON, NJ - Bill Pascrell Jr.'s congressional campaign has announced that he has received endorsements from six police unions.
The law enforcement organizations that announced their support for Pascrell are were State Policemen’s Benevolent Association, N.J. State Fraternal Order of Police, Port Authority Police Benevolent Association, Bergen County PBA Conference, Passaic County PBA Conference, and Hudson County PBA Conference.
Shmuley Boteach, Pascrell's Republican challenger in the race for the 9th district congressional seat, did not respond to a request for his comment on the Democrat's police endorsements.
"I am proud to have the support from the men and women that keep our families safe,” said Pascrell, former mayor of Paterson.
“Congressman Pascrell knows that public safety is vital to the well being of all New Jersey residents, and he’s acted on that belief by fighting for the federal resources we need,” said Jerry Tolomeo, Chairman of the Passaic County PBA Conference, in a press release.
