PATERSON, NJ -  A Paterson man faces up to life in New Jersey State Prison following his arrest on charges that he sexually assaulted an 11-year-old child that was in his care in a Paterson home. The suspect, William Ortega, 42, is said to have then threatened the child not to tell anyone about the assault, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes said in her announcement.

Additionally, a 21-year-old Paterson man was arrested Monday and charged in connection with multiple sexual assaults of a victim, now 14, when the child was between the ages of six and 11-years-old. According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Clifton Police Chief Tom Rinaldi, the suspect was a juvenile at the time of the alleged incidents that are said to have taken place in residences in both Clifton and Passaic.
