Passaic County to Consider Improvements to Lakeview Avenue

PATERSON, NJ- Residents have been invited to participate in an effort to make Lakeview Avenue safer by attending Thursday’s meeting of the 6th Ward Neighborhood Association. The meeting will be held at School # 25, 287 Trenton Avenue, beginning at 7:00 p.m.

According to a statement released last week by the Passaic County Board of Chosen Freeholders, county staff will be on-hand to discuss improvements to the section of Lakeview Avenue between the Market Street Circle to the north and Crooks Avenue to the South.

This section of roadway includes four travel lanes with a landscaped median. NJTransit’s bus route 744 operates along the corridor connecting riders to destinations throughout Passaic County. The county, the statement says, is seeking to provide safer conditions for pedestrians, bicyclists and motorists; improved public transportation connections; and increased accessibility for both pedestrians and bicyclists.
