PATERSON, NJ - Paterson Board of Education Central Office staff at 90 Delaware Avenue will work remotely through November 4, Superintendent Eileen Shafer announced Wednesday. The decision comes following the directive of the Paterson Health Director. On Tuesday Shafer announced that three employees inside the building had tested positive for COVID-19. 

According to Shafer’s statement, she, along with the deputy superintendent and their limited office staff will be at the Central Office building during this time. When Central Office employees return to the building, it will be according to the hybrid schedule which currently had, since Tuesday, half the building’s staff coming in on Mondays and Wednesdays, the other half coming in on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and everyone working remotely on Fridays.  

Students, parents and any members of the public who have business to conduct with the district should contact staff members by phone or email. The district’s Information Call Center is also available to take questions from parents and students in four languages.
