PATERSON, NJ- Paterson families will have a chance to celebrate the unofficial start to summer at a Memorial Day Celebration at Roberto Clemente Park on Monday. The free event, hosted by the Luis Velez Civic Association, will be held  from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. and  feature food, music, live music, a bounce house for children, and other activities.

The park’s sprinkler system will also be turned on.

“This is an opportunity for families to come together and enjoy Paterson,” Velez said. While the event will be held in the 5th Ward, which Velez represents on the City Council, the councilman said it is “open to all local families looking for a fun and safe day out.”

“We want Paterson to come together.”
