Paterson Hoops Teams Stay on Track

PATERSON, NJ - Three of Paterson's high school basketball teams warmed up for the Passaic County semi-finals with regular season wins on February 17.

The Kennedy boys team (14-9) extended its winning streak to four games by beating Wayne Hills, 50-43. Dawan Lighty was high man for the Knights with 13, while Kaheem Davis and Jhamir White added 12 each and Sammy Singletary had 10.

Eastside, which had fallen under .500 early in the year, improved to 13-7 with a 63-21 win over Passaic. Deandre Noble scored 22, while David Burgos had 11.

In girls action, Kennedy beat Wayne Hills, 47-42, to raise its record to 16-6. Kylla Champagne lead the Lady Knights with 15, while Ericka Brown had 12 and Ahnyyah Jackson 10.
