PATERSON, NJ - Paterson police are treating the discovery of a 20-year-old city man's body in an East 18th Street backyard on Tuesday morning as a homicide case.

According to a release from Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes, the body of Dante Whyte was found at 8 a.m. in the rear yard of 431 East 18th Street, with what appeared to be multiple gunshot wounds. Police were responding to a call from a resident that a deceased male was located in the rear yard of that location.
