PATERSON, NJ- A 26-year old Paterson man was shot and killed on Wednesday. This is Paterson’s second homicide in 2018, down from 14 from 2017.

According to a report by Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Troy Oswald, police responded to the area of Fair Street and Auburn Street in response to shots fired at approximately 10:34 p.m. Upon arrival officers located Asmar Williams lying in the intersection with apparent gunshot wounds.

Williams was transported to St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in Paterson where he was pronounced deceased at 11:14 p.m.
