PATERSON, NJ - A 25-year old Passaic man was apprehended by Paterson police after a 28-year old Paterson man was stabbed in a fight on Sunday. The incident, according to Public Safety Director Jerry Speziale, took place at approximately 5:55 p.m. in the area of Main Street and Michigan Avenue.
The report states that while police were responding to the area, an officer assigned to the emergency room at St. Joseph’s Medical Center notified units that the victim had arrived at the hospital with a serious stab wounds.
Officers began canvassing the area where the incident occurred immediately and confronted two suspects in the area of Getty Avenue and Delaware Avenue, and, after ordering them to stop, took them into custody for further questioning. An additional two men were also taken into custody leading to the eventual arrest of Danny Valasquez.
The victim underwent emergency surgery and is in stable condition resting comfortably at the hospital.
