PATERSON, NJ - Police have arrested two males, including a 15-year-old, in connection with a Sunday morning shooting that has left the victim in critical condition.

Yaquin Perry, 28, is being detained in Passaic County Jail on attempted murder charges for his role in the shooting of a 33-year-old man at the corner of Highland and Sparrow streets around 2 a.m. Sunday. The juvenile suspect is also being detained in the Essex County Juvenile Detention Center.

"It appears at this time that the incident may have started as a result of an alleged verbal altercation that involved the victim and the persons arrested," said Lt. Patrick Murray of the Paterson Police Ceasefire Unit. "It is alleged that the suspects left the area after the initial incident, and returned a short time later. The victim was located at the same location, at which time he was shot multiple times."

Today, we face an uphill ...

I'm Sorry Mr. Jackson... I Am For Real

July 8, 2018

Hello again, Paterson.

So much has changed since the last time I’ve written… as I’d hoped, Andre Sayegh is our new mayor and it seems an exciting new dawn is upon us. I think when any change comes, especially one as major as this, there is an opportunity for reflection as well as for hope. This election taught me quite a bit, seeing some of the best and worst sides of ...
