PATERSON, NJ - A 17-year-old male was shot in the area of North 1st Street and Arch Street on Wednesday.

According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Troy Oswald, members of the Paterson Police Department responded to the area on a report of shots fired at approximately 8:24 p.m. and found a potential crime scene but no victim.

A short time later law enforcement officials were advised that the victim, who had sustained a non-fatal gunshot wound, was located in a residence in the area of North Main Street.

The victim was immediately transported to Saint Joseph’s Regional Medical Center by the Paterson Fire Department EMS.

Just hours later, a second statement from the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office stated, a 26-year-old Paterson man, also sought treatment at St. Joseph’s. No crime scene has been found in this incidents.

Investigations into both incidents are ongoing.
