PATERSON, NJ- The Paterson Public Schools are to hold two community forums to discuss the ongoing process of formulating the 2018/2019 School Budget.
These forums will be held at JFK Education Complex on Wednesday, December 13 and Eastside High School Campus on Thursday, December 14. Both sessions will begin at 6:00 p.m and end by 7:30 p.m.
In a video released online Acting Superintendent Dr Eileen Shafer described the budget process as important because it “directly impacts (their) ability to manage the day to day operations of our school system.”
Dr. Shafer further added that she will share her “goals and expectations” for the budget at the forums.
District Business Administrator Richard Matthews will discuss a variety of topics including how the budget is developed, strategies to close the budget gap, and address budget priorities.
