PATERSON, NJ - A Paterson teen was killed, and two of her passengers were admitted to the  hospital with serious injuries after a Friday morning crash on Route 19 near Valley Rd.

According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Troy Oswald a 2009 Mitsubishi Galant collided with 2009 Peterbuilt Rolloff Container truck at approximately 9:38 a.m.  The accident took place just south of the Valley Road exit. 

A 17-year-old Paterson female, identified as C.D., was operating the Galant. She and three of her juvenile passengers were taken to St. Joseph's Medical Center in Paterson. 55-year-old Gregory Macheska of Nutley was driving the truck.

C.D. was pronounced dead at 12:50 p.m. Two of her passengers were admitted at St. Joseph's with serious injuries.

 No charges have been filed at this time. The investigation remains active.
