PATERSON, N.J. - After a two month investigation into the distribution of child pornography at a Crooks Avenue house, authorities arrested a 29-year-old Paterson resident, Omar Saloukha.

“Preventing the exploitation of children is a priority of the PCSO. No child should be a victim of a sexually charged crime,” said Passaic County Sheriff Richard Berdnik. “I want to thank both Sheriff’s Office and Prosecutor’s Office personnel who were involved in this investigation and subsequent arrest.”

Authorities conducted a search of Saloukhas devices where they found over 500 files and images of child pornography. On his computer investigators found a file sharing program which was used to receive and distribute the images, as well as a meticulous system of storing and organizing the images in folders and subfolders by sexually explicit categories.

Saloukhas is being held at the Passaic County Jail awaiting trial.
