PATERSON, NJ – A 28-year-old man was the victim of a possible stabbing at his apartment at 28 Highland St. at approximately 1:50 this morning.

Paterson police responded to a call from a neighbor reporting a commotion inside the building. Police found the victim laying on the floor with a laceration and a large amount of blood coming from his head wound. The victim was transported to St. Joseph Hospital, where his injuries have been reported as “non-life-threatening.”

The incident is still under investigation, according to Lt. Richard Reyes of the Paterson. The victim was unable to give an account of what took place, and it still is unclear how many attackers there were. Although the call initially came in as a stabbing, Lt. Reyes said that a knife has not been confirmed as the cause of the victim’s injuries.
