Police Search for Suspect Who Shot Paterson Store Owner

PATERSON, NJ - Paterson Police are searching for the gunman who shot a local store owner Friday night.

At 09:04 PM Paterson Police were called to the scene of 39 Ellison Street where they found the 64-year-old store owner, Jose Tavarez, with a gunshot wound.

Tavarez was transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital for emergency care but did not survive his injuries.
