Police Seek Public's Help Investigating June Homicide Case


PATERSON, NJ - Police are seeking assistance from the public in solving a homicide that took place in the city four months ago.

On June 18, two men were shot on the corner of 10th Avenue and East 27th Street at 2:30 a.m. One of the victims, Gary Green, died from his injuries.

The Paterson Police Department has released the following statement on its Facebook page:

On Monday June 18th 2012 at approximately 2:30am, shooting incident took place in the area of 10th Avenue & East 27th Street. This incident resulted in two individuals being shot with one of them, Gary Green, passing from his injuries. The video below shows the two suspects in this HOMICIDE. SUSPECT#1 is described as a light skinned black male, approximately 5'10 in height, stocky build weighing around 270-290, approximately 35-40 years old and is dressed in all black. SUSPECT #2 is also described as a light skinned black male, standing approximately 5'10 in height, heavy set weighing about 215 pounds, is his late 30's to early 40's, and is wearing a green and white striped shirt. In the video the suspects are seen arriving in a silver or light colored Kia Soul driven by another unknown individual. The suspects may have been attending a Father's Day BBQ that was being held in the area. Anyone with any information pertaining to this HOMICIDE is asked to contact Cease-Fire Detective's Eddie Taylor or Dave Tanis at 973-321-1342.
