Seeking Youth Ages 14-20 Interested in a Career in Communication and Journalism

SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ – Are you or someone you know between the ages of 14-20 interested in a career in Communication and Journalism?

Students from Union County gathered in late April to begin their journey with communication and journalism Exploring post 100 in a partnership with TAPinto.net. The post is still actively seeking students ages 14-20 to join the newly formed post.

Young men and women interested in careers in journalism, communications, social media and more are invited to the attend a second open house on Tuesday, May 24 from 7-9 p.m. at the Westfield Knights of Columbus (2400 North Avenue, Scotch Plains, New Jersey 07076).

Students who complete registration and formally join the post will be partnered with a local TAP Into franchise and begin to report on news, events and sports from their local communities.

Communications Exploring is a hands-on program that exposes participants to many career opportunities in TV, radio, journalism, graphic design and other communications areas.  Exploring is in association with the Boy Scouts of America. Post 100 is chartered by Tapinto.net.

About Exploring

Exploring is a worksite-based program of Learning for Life, a subsidiary of the Boy Scouts of America, for young men and women who are 14 through 20 years old (15 through 21 in some areas).  Exploring units, called "posts", usually have a focus on a single career field, such as police, fire/rescue, emergency medical services, healthcare, law, aviation, engineering, or the like, and may be sponsored by a government or business entity.
