Spencer Savings Bank Spreads Holiday Cheer to Local Organizations Via Holiday Toy Drive

Spencer Savings Bank, a community bank headquartered in Elmwood Park, collected toys this holiday season, through its successful annual Holiday Toy Drive to benefit St. Joseph’s Hospital, New Jersey Community Development Corporation, and Children’s Specialized Hospital. The toys were collected throughout the month of December in all 18 branch locations throughout Bergen, Essex, Passaic and Union counties, in addition to the bank’s corporate headquarters.

“Helping those in need is at the heart of the holiday season for our employees and our customers,” said José B. Guerrero, Chairman, President and CEO of Spencer Savings Bank. “We are so thankful that because of their kindness and support, we were able to provide hundreds of children with toys, in an effort to make their holiday season just a little bit brighter. I’d like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of our generous employees and customers who donated and delivered toys.”

After collecting the toys, Spencer Savings Bank employees visited each local organization on Dec.  20. The “Spencer Santa” and his helper elves visited St. Joseph’s Hospital in Paterson Community Development Corporation, and the Children’s Specialized Hospital in Mountainside, to hand out the toys and spread holiday cheer to the children.
