PATERSON, NJ - The one percent of Paterson residents that are willing to pull the trigger and cause the kind of violence that erupted on Thursday have been put on notice: the Paterson Police Department, as well as federal, state, and county law enforcement officials are stepping up efforts to combat violence.
“Today’s shooter is tomorrow’s victim,” Speziale told TAPinto Paterson, highlighting again that the universe of those individuals involved in violent crime across the city is small.
The stepped up efforts, he added, will not end “today or tomorrow,” but instead will last throughout the summer.
As for those willing to continue to commit crimes Speziale said that they will be “identified and relentlessly pursued.”
It’s not just shootings the strategy will combat Speziale added. “We are focused on all crime,” including drugs, prostitution, and robberies.
“We will improve the quality of life in Paterson.”
