RAHWAY, NJ - Paterson's representatives to the New Jersey General Assembly, Shavonda Sumter and Benjie Wimberly, both received the endorsement of the NJFMBA for their reelection bids on Thursday.
“The incumbents we endorsed have shown through their legislative action that they support the issues that matter to the more than 5,000 career firefighters, EMTs, and dispatchers that make up the New Jersey State FMBA,” Eddie Donnelly, President of the statewide union, said.
Both Sumter and Wimberly were in attendance at the organization’s annual legislative conference addressing more than 350 active and retired members.
