PATERSON, NJ - Three arrests have been made in connection with a shooting that took place Friday in the area of Jersey Street and Market Street.

According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Ibrahim Baycora, Nasir Clark, Aleena Rivera, and Nijel Towns, all 19, are each charged with several crimes, the most serious of which, Attempted Murder, carries a jail term of up to 20 years.  

The report stated that a car carrying four occupants ranging from 22 to 30 years old came in contact with the suspect’s vehicle. After opening fire on the victims, and hitting their car, both vehicles fled the scene before being pulled over on Route 21 South near exit 7. A handgun was recovered in the suspect’s vehicle leading to the three arrests.

None of the victims were injured.
