Three Victims Tied Up During Prospect Park Home Invasion

PATERSON, NJ - Two suspects posing as police officers gained admittance into a Carbon Street apartment unit in the Prospect Park section on Wednesday and robbed three victims of cash.

According to Lt. Bert Ribeiro, the incident occurred at around 10:30 a.m., when a white male and a Hispanic male knocked on the door of a home in the 200 block of Carbon Street, a block from Haledon Avenue. After they made their way into the home, where two Hispanic females were along with a male exterminator who was servicing the residence, the suspects forcibly tied up all three victims.

The suspects ransacked the apartment, stole cash from the victims and escaped.

There were no injuries reported. The incident is still under investigation.
